Our work focuses on the following themes:
Access to essential services
Access of poor and vulnerable populations to essential services, including water, sanitation and energy, is a central issue for sustainable development (SDO 6 and 7). Through its activities, the Institute participates in the sharing of best practices in terms of BoP (Base of the Pyramid) strategy, decentralized solutions and innovative financing.

Climate Change
Faced with the challenges of climate change (ODD 13), the Institute participates in the public debate on the ecological transition to a low-carbon world. In particular, it highlights the challenge posed by emissions of methane, a much more powerful greenhouse gas than carbon dioxide. The sharing of experience on solutions for energy efficiency and territorial resilience is particularly highlighted in our work.

Resources and the circular economy
In order to move from our throwaway society to a circular economy, it is necessary to invent or rediscover modes of production and consumption (ODD 12). To take part in this transformation, rich in opportunities for not only technical but also social innovation, the Institute is particularly interested in the challenges of plastics and critical materials.

Cities and urban services
According to the United Nations, more than two thirds of the world's population will live in cities by 2050. To face this challenge, inventing sustainable urbanization patterns is a necessity (ODD 11). In particular, the Institute is interested in solutions offered by the digital revolution, including the potential of data sciences to optimize the management of cities, as well as nature-based solutions and new services to be imagined around urban agriculture.
